Swedish Days
Swedish Days
We have had another celebration of language awareness with Swedish Day. All the children and staff looked magnificent in the colours of Swedish flag. They have learnt that the blue symbolises justice, loyalty, truth and the yellow represents generosity. It is Crayfish season in Sweden and as part of our celebration, children made crayfish hats and learnt Swedish greetings, numbers and colours. The whole school sang 'Mamma Mia' by ABBA and showed their moves. Year 5 and 6 have had an opportunity to listen to Adam in Year 6 and his father's presentation on Sweden. Thank you to Mr Landels for supporting our Swedish Day and Mrs Bruce in Year 2, for bringing traditional Swedish artefacts and food which Year 2 and the staff enjoyed.
Tack så mycket, Mrs Cain
